Overall function of my area is to act as a service provider for all the different group markets feeding into it.  We place the accommodation needs of each individual agent and try to place using the locations, budget, expectations provided by the BD teams.

We use pre-contracted allocations that we need to maximize.  We try to re-cycle space that has been confirmed but no longer required. 

We consult a huge variation of reports to scientifically help make decisions on our placement.  We monitor these reports regularly to provide stats required on various outcomes.

Our overall aim is to ensure all accommodation placement is done so within budget (if not save on that budget) but at the expectations of the agent.
